Chick-fil-A employee Rachel Elizabeth who was verbally abused by anti-Chick-fil-A customer Adam Smith, last week, told Fox News' Stuart Varney that she forgave Smith (video below).

Elizabeth said: “I do forgive him. I think he realizes how bad it was to make that tape. I feel sorry for him and his family, and for everything that has happened to him since.”

After the video went viral, Smith was fired by his employer.

Elizabeth added:  “I am glad I could be an example of how we should serve each other. It was hard, the attack about me and the company I work for, but I am glad I was prepared and the training and the upbringing I have had helped me get through that.”

“I am sure he was looking for me to react poorly. It’s not in my personality. I would never do anything hateful in return.I don’t know if I’m a hero, I’m just a service worker doing my job."
