On the "Political Playground" segment of MSNBC's 'The Cycle' last Thursday, co-host Krystal Ball talked to her young daughter Ella about what marriage is and who can get married, including two men or two women (video below).
The broadcast drew fire from the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), which wrote this headline on its blog: "Cringe-Inducing: MSNBC Host Uses Young Daughter to Push Gay Marriage."

NOM also wrote: "Regardless of where you stand on the issue of gay marriage, few will likely agree with MSNBC host Krystal Ball's decision to use her young daughter to promote gay marriage."
However, NOM's Rhode Island chapter, Rhode Island for Marriage, bought a stock picture of a young girl and created an anti-gay marriage ad around the picture, which was not shot for any political purpose.
