Florida police are searching for three men suspected of raping a 25-year-old woman while she walked home from a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender nightclub. Police are investigating the attack as a hate crime.

Three white males in a silver car drove up to the woman early Sunday morning as she left Revolution nightclub and began to taunt her. The victim told police that one had called her a “d--e” before the three pushed her to the ground, removed her underwear and raped her.

One of the men allegedly told the victim, “I’ll show you how a real man feels.”

Sgt. Jim Young of the Orlando Police Department said the men made the statements in an attempt to punish her for her sexual orientation.

However, it has not been confirmed whether the victim identifies as a lesbian.

The victim described one attacker as having short hair and wearing a black T-shirt and khakis. She added that she had not known the men and wished to pursue legal action against them.

"There are still people out there that hate us,” said Randy Stephens of local LGBT organization The Center. "Even with all the victories we've had, we may have let our guard down."

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crimeline.
