Coca-Cola Censors the Word 'Gay' (Video)

Coca-Cola's new social media campaign invites people to “Share a Coke” with a friend, which includes writing text on a virtual can of Coke.

A Coke website allows users to write the word "straight," but does not allow the word "gay," notes (video below).

Instead, users get the error message, “Oops. Let’s pretend you didn’t just type that.”

Coca-Cola has offended gay rights groups lately with its refusal to denounce Russia's anti-gay laws, defending the arrest of gay rights protester in Russia and removing a gay marriage scene from an Irish TV commercial, notes
