Cincinnati Fox 19 news anchor Tricia Macke returned to work, on Tuesday, after a two-day suspension for referring to MSNBC host Rachel Maddow as an “angry young man” on Facebook, reports the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) called on Fox 19 to “take swift action to condemn Macke’s remarks" as her comments were “completely unacceptable for someone in the business of journalism.”

Macke apologized last Friday in a statement: "I apologize to Ms. Maddow and any others who may have been offended by my comments, as they do not reflect my firm beliefs in individual and equal rights, and they certainly do not represent the opinions or position of my employer WXIX-TV."
