During a recent interview with Politico at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., Microsoft co-founder and billionaire Bill Gates recalled his experiences as a Boy Scout (video below).

When Gates was asked if he believed the Boy Scouts should lift its ban on gay members, he said “absolutely” it should “because it’s 2013,” reports

Gates donated millions of dollars to efforts to legalize gay marriage in Washington State, last year, which was successful.

Gates also said in the interview that the current U.S. immigration policy is the biggest impediment to job growth, but did not mention that Microsoft favors loosening immigration rules in order to hire more foreign workers on H1-B visas.
