A French woman bit a man's tongue off while he attempted to rape her.
The 19-year-old woman was followed home by the 24-year-old alleged rapist, who went into her apartment building and began grabbing her clothes, according to media reports.
In the elevator at the woman's apartment building where the two were along, the man lunged at her and managed to penetrate her, The Local reported, according to a judicial source.
The woman decided to let the man kiss her so that she could bite his tongue.

As he fled, the man left a trail of blood along the pavement, according to The Sun. This evidence proved crucial, as police were able to match the DNA from the blood on the pavement to the man when he was later arrested.
Officers alerted local hospitals to look out for a man missing a part of his tongue. The alleged rapist showed up at a local hospital shortly after the alleged rape attempt and was taken into custody.
The man appeared in court May 11 and alleged the woman led him on. The judge dismissed his defense and sentenced him to prison time. The length of the sentence has not been reported.
The 19-year-old French woman is not the first to respond to an attempted rape in this way.

A 33-year-old woman bit the tongue of her 16-year-old attacker on Oct. 16, 2015, in Charleston, South Carolina.
The teenager threatened the woman with a knife before forcing his way into her property and carrying her to the bedroom. When the man climbed on top of her, she “bit his tongue as hard as she could until she heard it snap,” according to The Washington Post.
The police investigation was made easier when a Charleston mother called 911 on behalf of her son, telling operators his problem was “not having a tongue," according to a police report.
