A clever fourth-grade student gave the most epic answer to one of her math homework questions, reports Cosmopolitan.

The question was a word problem on Maddy Douglas’ worksheet that presented a situation about group dating in high school.

When second part of the question involved switching partners around in the group date, Maddy summoned the wisdom of her mother.

"I can't answer this problem because my mom says [according] to girl code you shouldn't date a friends boyfriend," she wrote.

Her mom, Jenn Morrison Douglas, posted the photo of Maddy’s answer to Facebook and hashtagged it with #girlcodetrumpscommoncore

"I consider myself to be a completely open-minded type person and as a single mom, try to teach my children about equality and about different types of people they will encounter, but my first reaction was it was not an appropriate question for a fourth-grader or really any grade," Jenn told The Huffington Post.

Now Maddy’s answer has become a viral sensation, and she’s making an impact at her school, too. She told The Huffington Post that when she showed it to her math teacher, the teacher replied with "good point.”
