'Put Out A Forest Fire With A Squirt Gun': Marcus Luttrell's List Of Demands For Dating His Daughter

A best-selling author and former Navy SEAL has outlined what boys will have to do in order to be able to date his daughter when that time comes, and his rant is getting a lot of attention.

Marcus Luttrell is the author of the book “Lone Survivor,” which went on to become a blockbuster film starring Mark Wahlberg. Luttrell recently took to Facebook to discuss what he says are concrete rules for dating his two-year-old daughter Addie when she’s old enough.

“I’m gonna make him contact every father of a daughter on here, MMA fighter, boxer, police officer, fire fighter and let’s not forget the toughest of all Prison guards to get their blessing,” writes Luttrell. “Oh... in person by the way.”

The 6’5”, 250-pound former Navy SEAL goes on, listing the things that the potential suitor will have to do in order to win him over and be allowed to date his daughter.

Speaking to Fox News, Luttrell explained the motivation behind his Facebook rant.

“I'm a realist. I remember being 16 and 17 years old and what that felt like,” Luttrell said. “And I have a 16-year-old stepson who has his homecoming tonight and he told me he's got a date. I said, ‘Hey that's great,’ but in the same breath, ‘You better treat her right.’ The most important thing to me is that I hope she finds someone unconditionally and treats her well and loves her as much as I love her mother.”

Is Luttrell just being your typical overprotective father, or do you agree with his rant?
