Florida woman Rachel Byrd was arrested Monday when she allegedly flung peanut butter at her brother during an argument about a urinating dog, according to police.
Volusia County Sheriff’s Office reported that the 29-year-old and her brother Gabriel Byrd, who she shares a home with, began arguing around 2 a.m.
When her brother’s dog urinated in the house, Byrd reportedly threw a spoonful of peanut butter at her brother’s face.
At one point, one of the siblings called 911, though the call was immediately ended. When a dispatcher attempted to call back, the call wasn’t answered, and a deputy was sent to the home.
When the deputy arrived, he observed that Byrd’s brother had peanut butter running down his face, and determined Byrd as the aggressor.
It was also noted that Byrd had a scratch mark on her leg, presumably from the dog.
Though Byrd’s brother did not want to press charges, Byrd was arrested and taken to Volusia County Branch Jail.
Byrd was charged with battery and is being held without bail.
