After an argument about a spilled drink, Florida man Dean Sutton shot security guard Josue Santiago.

Sutton, 26, was at the Ocala Entertainment Complex sometime after 1 a.m. on Monday morning. Santiago, 25, works at the establishment.

As the bar was closing, Santiago was walking towards the front door and accidentally kicked over Sutton’s drink. Sutton, who had been warned earlier in the evening to calm down or he would be removed from the club, became enraged and demanded a new drink. When he didn’t get one, he became even more upset.

According to Raw Story, Sutton then began yelling and pacing back and forth. Santiago approached him and began to escort him out the front door. Sutton allegedly pulled a gun out of his pocket and the two began to grapple over the weapon. Somehow the gun went off and Santiago was shot in the shoulder. After the gunshot, bar patrons and other security personnel jumped on Sutton and detained him until police arrived on the scene.

Both men were taken to the hospital. Santiago’s shoulder wound is not believed to be life-threatening. After being treated for minor injuries, Sutton was released into police custody. In the wake of the shooting, a two-shot Cobra Derringer was found. One shot had been fired.

Sutton was already on probation for carrying a concealed weapon. He was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed firearm and possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
