A female Kurdish fighter named Rehana is being praised around the web for her valiant efforts in the fight against ISIS. The International Business Times reports today that Rehana has allegedly killed over 100 ISIS militants while defending the Syrian town of Kobani.
Journalist Pawan Durani tweeted a photo of Rehana yesterday and encouraged others to share it as well.
“Rehana has killed more than a hundred #ISIS terrorists in #Kobane,” the photo’s caption reads. “[Retweet] and make her famous for her bravery.”

The IB Times reports that some sources claim Rehana was killed by ISIS fighters in recent days, but those reports have not been verified.
An estimated 7,000-10,000 female Kurdish fighters have taken up arms to ward off ISIS forces in Syria. The fighters belong to the Yekineyen Parastina Jin (YPJ), or Women’s Protection Units, an all-female, independent militia. YPJ fighter Dilar Gencxemis was immortalized on the internet last week after it was reported she killed 23 ISIS fighters by detonating herself as she ran towards them.
