The ex-girlfriend and former landlady of a Detroit man who walked 21 miles roundtrip to work each day is reportedly demanding he pay her a portion of the $360,000 that was raised for him online.
James Robertson, 56, became an Internet sensation two months ago, when the nation discovered he walked several miles to get to his factory job each day because he didn't have the financial means to purchase a car or pay for gas, we reported. A 19-year-old college student named Evan Leedy was inspired by his story and set up a GoFundMe page to help him -- his efforts helped raise $360,000 for Robertson, and a local auto dealership donated a new Ford Taurus to him.
Robertson used a portion of his money to move out of the Detroit house where he lived for 15 years, in part because he said he wanted to get away from his former landlady, Tanya Fox, 60, who was also his girlfriend and is now insisting her former tenant owes her money.
"He said he was going to give me $50,000 to fix up the house," Fox reportedly told the Detroit Free Press. "James was not a neat person; he got grease all over the wall."

Robertson, who is now living in a secret location in order to protect his safety, reportedly took out a restraining order against Fox, but she claims she plans to contest it "because I'm not a threat to him, and no one in this house is a threat to him."
The man says he grew up in the neighborhood in which Fox still resides, but that he has cut ties with its residents.
"I may have been born there, but God knows I don't belong there anymore," he said.
Despite his newfound fame and money, Robertson continues to work at Schain Mold & Engineering, where he is paid $10.55 an hour. But, thanks to his new car, his commute is now just 20 minutes. He is working with financial experts who are helping him manage his money free of charge.
