Video: Fire Destroys 50 Homes in Queens, New York During Hurricane Sandy

A fire broke out in Queens, New York, last night, destroying 50 homes as firefighters waded through flooded streets to rescue trapped citizens during Hurricane Sandy (video below).

Firefighters told the Associated Press said they used a small boat to get 25 people away from burning buildings.

Hurricane Sandy reportedly claimed ten lives as it hammered the eastern seaboard, from Ocean City, Maryland to New York City, last night. The storm was reportedly 900 miles long.
