Larry Goodwin was stung to death by 40,000 killer bees in Moody, Texas, on Saturday (video below).
Goodwin was consolidating a neighbor’s brush pile when his tractor hit a hive of the African bees.
The neighbor’s wife and daughter tried to help Goodwin, but were also stung.
The Moody Volunteer Fire Department responded to a 911 call, but there was nothing they could do.

Goodwin was pronounced dead at the scene, reports KCEN-TV.
“We need to let people know these bees are in the area and tell children in particular not to disturb or irritate the hives,” bee exterminater Allen Miller told the Waco Tribune-Herald.
“You can’t believe how bad they are. They make me want to get out of this business. They can get up under your clothes where no other insect can go. In a hive of ordinary European bees, about 10 percent will attack if the hive is threatened, but with African bees, all of them attack you.”
The bees were reportedly brought over from Africa to Brazil in 1957. However, some escaped and mated with bees in Latin America and southern American bees. They are said to be ten times more aggressive than normal bees.
