Heartland Institute Billboard Compares People Who Believe in Climate Change to Mass Murderers
The Heartland Institute has launched a billboard campaign in Chicago that compares people who accept climate science to Charles Manson, the Unabomber, and Osama Bin Laden.
The Guardian reports that the ad campaign is being used to promote their Chicago conference later this month, which will include Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI), Czech President Vasclav Klaus and some former NASA astronauts.
In a press release, the Heartland Institute states: "The people who still believe in man-made global warming are mostly on the radical fringe of society. This is why the most prominent advocates of global warming aren't scientists. They are murderers, tyrants, and madmen."

Apparently it is down already
Apparently it is down already but its still funny when the Koch brothers lurch from one disaster (funding Richard Muller to 're-examine' the evidence in support of climate change ... and he stupidly finds it real and the science compelling) to their own leaked Heartland Institute emails detailing their war on science in the classroom ... to now the most bizarre, textbook example of an ad hominem fallacy imaginable.
Not sure about the globe, but it sure makes me feel warm inside.
