Cayden Bibeau’s birthday was ruined after a knife was found in his Elmo cake. His father, Nathan Bibeau of Lewistown, Maine, bought the cake from Walmart. Nathan had to cancel the toddler’s birthday party when guests began to leave after the knife was discovered.
Nathan is now thinking about suing the mega-chain. His family was left "disappointed and upset," after the incident. "We're not going to get that second birthday back ever," Nathan said. A relative found the knife while cutting into the cake.
Walmart has apologized and offered a refund for the cake, reports The Daily News.
Spokesman Kayla Whaling told local Maine station WGME: "This should not have happened. We're thankful no one was hurt and sincerely apologize to our customers for their experience."
