An elderly woman who lost her home in Moore, Okla., rode out the storm in a “little bathroom” with her dog.

During the tornado, Barbara Garcia was knocked onto the floor and separated from her miniature schnauzer.

When the storm passed, there was nothing left of her home. Garcia was giving a live interview to CBS News, when the interviewer cut her off. “The dog! The dog!” she said.

“Bless your little bitty heart,” Garcia said. “Help me!”

Garcia bent down and helped her pooch free from the debris. The dog could walk and appeared to be unhurt.

“I thought God just answered one prayer, to let me be okay,” she explained. “He answered both of them. This was my second prayer.”
