Nyasia Mitchell and Laneisha Williams were banned from their prom last Saturday at Mt. Healthy High School in Cincinnati, Ohio because of their dresses (video below).

'They told me my top was inappropriate, so I offered to button the jacket I had on," said Williams who was wearing a black dress with a denim vest. Then they said my skirt was too short, but it came to my knees so I don't feel like it was too short.'

According to the Daily Mail, Mitchell was told that her white strapless dress with a pink skirt also violated the school's dress code.

Danielle Mitchell told ABC 9 that her daughter looked "marvelous" and added: "For them to turn them away. . . That's crazy!"

"I was furious," said Williams' mother. "Who are you to tell my daughter that her skirt is too short? I'm the mother."

No school in the country would allow kids in dressed like that," countered the school's principal Marlon Styles Jr. "They can have no curvature of the breasts showing."

Styles said the girls were allowed to call their parents and have a change of clothes brought to them. He said the students called their parents, who did not bring replacement clothing.

A letter that was sent parents prior to the prom listed the dress code regulations, which included: "Inappropriate dresses that are too short in length or reveal excess cleavage will not be permitted. Students who arrive inappropriately dressed will be required to change clothes prior to entering the event. Parents will be contacted if any dress code concerns arise with their child."

The girls spent hundreds of dollars on their prom dresses and their moms are considering suing the school. Styles has offered them a refund on their $50 prom tickets.
