Fox News has repeatedly slammed President Obama's plan for universal pre-school education by calling it a "government handout" that will trick a new generation of toddlers to vote for Democrats.
Last week, Fox Business host Stuart Varney said that the early education plan is “goodies” and “free stuff” in an attempt to buy votes.
On Sunday, Fox Business host Gerri Willis called the pre-school plan “immoral," reports MediaMatters.org (video below).
"I have to tell you, I think it’s immoral to make all of these promises, when you know you can’t afford it, we can’t afford it," said Willis. "Preschool for everyone, are you kidding me? We don’t have the money for that! … This is just crazy talk and I think it’s immoral to put this across as something that’s actually doable, when it’s not."
Willis did not mention how pre-school programs increase the likelihood of a child going to college.
President Obama pledged that the proposals will not contribute to the deficit.

Programs like Head Start and Early Head Start have increased access to early childhood education among America’s children, but significant gaps in access remain for children in low and middle-income families, who would receive the same chance under President Obama's plan.
