A Texas chemistry teacher was arrested at school after investigators allegedly found “date rape recipes” in her backpack.

Haivan Bui was arrested Friday at Oak Ridge High School in Conroe after deputies executed a search warrant at her Woodlands apartment. Investigators found more date rape recipes, methamphetamine, marijuana, gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) – a date rape drug ingredient – and several prescription medications in her home, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

Bui, who also teaches class at Lone Star College, was charged with possession with intent to deliver and/or manufacture a controlled substance.

During the search, her husband Chris Hartwell was home. Hartwell was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, aggravated possession of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm.

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

"What if I'm out walking my dog and someone attacks me because she's right here producing a date rape drug," her neighbor Karen Cox told KHOU. "I don't feel safe anymore."

Her students were shocked at the arrest.

"She was really nice. I think she was a good teacher," said sophomore Armando Sanchez.

"Many are thinking, she didn't seem like the teacher that would do something like that," said senior Nicholas Marron.

The school principal, Tommy Johnson assured parents that no drug activity occurred at the school.

"There is no reason to believe that any illegal activity took place at the campus at this time,” Johnson wrote in an email to parents. “We are very disappointed and want to assure you that we are committed to providing a safe learning environment for our students. We will remain vigilant in investigating any and all reports that might affect the well-being of students or staff."
