An Arkansas man who lost his daughter after the child’s mother crashed while drunk driving has a message for people who drive under the influence (video below).

Rick Ellis’s daughter, Lindsey, was just 6-years-old when she was killed in a fatal car accident in 2014, the Little Things reported. The driver was Christy M. Johnson, Ellis’s ex-partner and Lindsey’s mother.

Ellis recorded a video from his daughter’s grave site, Fox 6 Now reported. He is hoping the video will serve as a sobering warning to people who drink and drive.

“I’m gonna tell you something. Life isn’t about getting high,” Ellis says in the video. “If I can help anybody — I want you to listen to me.”

“I’m going to show you something that is the end result of your partying on Friday nights, Saturday nights, whenever,” Ellis continued. “Want to get drunk, play around, get stupid? This is what happens…”

Ellis turns the camera to the names on the headstones. He said the death of his daughter was the result of a mother who “wanted to drink and get high.”

“Everything was great, right?” Ellis continues. “Well it ain’t so great now.”

Ellis said Johnson was driving home from Gulf Shores, Alabama, after her boyfriend abused her. The crash occurred in Beaumont, Mississippi, and killed Johnson and Lindsey instantly.

“If you are struggling with addiction, if you are struggling with alcohol, I hope this can help you,” Ellis adds in the video. “Don’t let your loved ones look down on you — six feet in the ground because you couldn’t handle life.

“There’s plenty of drunks in this world. You don’t need to be one.”
