| by Brendan Kelly

A trooper with the Ohio Sate Highway Patrol was honored this week for saving a truck driver's life in April.

Footage shows Trooper Eric Devers arriving at the scene of a crash and immediately running down a hill to help a semi-truck driver.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Devers found the truck driver belted into his seat and soon after he was found, his eyes rolled back into his head and he stopped breathing momentarily.

The trooper can be heard in the video shouting, "Don't you die! Don't you die on me!"

Devers can also be heard counting chest compressions.

The footage was posted to Facebook by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Thursday and has been viewed more than 5 million times.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital and made a full recovery. Devers' actions saved his life.

On Thursday, Devers received a Certificate of Recognition for his actions.
