Dallas Family Fled Vehicle After Fatally Hitting Pedestrian, Police Say

Three adults and three children fled a Ford Crown Victoria on foot after killing a pedestrian, Dallas police said.

The collision occurred around 10 p.m. Thursday. Witness told police the speeding car ran a red light before hitting the unidentified victim, NBC Dallas Forth Worth reported.

Suspects abandoned the car and headed for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit station.

Police found the six people and arrested the driver. He’s facing charges of manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid.

San Antonio Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in a fatal hit-and-run that took place on Sunday.

Rudy Luna, 66, was hit while crossing West Commerce Street. The driver did not stop. Luna later died at University Hospital.
