Would-Be Robbery Victim Shoots Home Invasion Suspects

| by Amanda Andrade-Rhoades

Pablo A. Bermudez, John Michael Bush and Saveion Wylie Bush allegedly tried to break into an apartment in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, on May 11. The would-be victim, who has not been named, decided to fight back.

The victim saw the men on his back patio, “so he went back inside his apartment to arm himself with a firearm,” according to Lt. Michele Pihera.

The 3 men then came to the front door and said something to the vicim, so he tried to shut the door on them. That is when the men reportedly forced their way into the home.

The victim apparently shot Bermudez and John Michael Bush. Bermudez later died at North Fulton Medical Center and Bush survived, despite being shot in the arm. Saveion Wylie Bush apparently drove John to the hospital, where he was detained.

There may be more suspects at large, according to police. At the time of the shooting, a woman and an infant were in the apartment.
