A New Orleans woman was arrested after reportedly throwing bleach in the faces of two high school students because they cut in front of her in line at a gas station.

Deanna Rudison, 55, has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery after the incident on April 20, Fox 8 reported.

According to New Orleans police, Rudison was waiting in line for gas at a Quick Stop station.

Rudison accused a high school student of cutting in front of her in line and she decided to do something about it.

Surveillance cameras (video below) then captured the moment Rudison walked out of the store with open bottles of bleach in both hands. The video appears to show her exchanging words with the teenage girls before dousing them in the face with bleach.

Detectives believe Rudison’s 27-year-old son, Jonathan Rudison, was also involved in the tussle and is currently identified as a “person of interest” in the investigation. He is accused of throwing one of the girls to the ground and breaking her arm, police said.

The two teenage girls are students at Cohen College Prep. One girl is 18 years old and the other is 15 years old, NOLA reported.

The 15-year-old girl with a broken arm was taken to a nearby hospital. Jonathan fled the scene after reportedly pushing the girl to the ground. Police do not have a picture of him.

The 18-year-old girl’s mother, Aisha Thomas, watched the surveillance video of the incident and vowed to press charges against Jonathan, who had not been arrested at the time.

“This day is not going to end like this,” Thomas told

That afternoon, Rudison surrendered to police and was detained at NOPD’s Sixth District station.
