Woman Pistol-Whipped And Carjacked In Her Own Garage

A 31-year-old woman in St. Louis, Missouri, got out of her car after she pulled into her garage on Aug. 12, but as she closed the garage door, she noticed it was going back up.

Two men entered the garage and pistol-whipped her before stealing her purse and car. “The man instantly told me to give him everything I had and hit me in the face. I told them to take everything and just go,” the unidentified victim told KTVI.

“I thought I was going to get shot in the head. My mom was on the phone and I thought she was going to hear me die. I really want people to be aware of their surroundings,” she said.

Although the victim is OK, she and her boyfriend plan to move. “This is very disheartening. There are people in the world who think they can take anything by force,” said the victim’s boyfriend.

Police have not tracked down the perpetrators, but there have been several carjackings targeting women at their St. Louis homes. Though it’s not clear if these cases are related, there were several reports of two men carjacking women at their homes in June and July, KTVI reported.
