A Michigan woman was arrested on Monday after opening fire at a Grand Rapids McDonald’s because employees gave her the wrong order.
Late Sunday, two women pulled up to the restaurant’s drive-through window and placed an order. When the burger the passenger received was not what she ordered, she became upset and complained.
The women were told the next time they visited the restaurant they would receive a free meal.
Hours later, at about 3 a.m. on Monday, the women returned and placed the same order. Again they were given the wrong food.
The passenger in the car had a verbal confrontation with an employee, getting out of the vehicle and shouting. She then took out a pistol and fired one round into the restaurant window before leaving the scene.
No one was injured in the shooting.
The suspects weren’t hard to track down. The passenger had left her phone number at the restaurant after her first incorrect order, so she could be contacted about the mistake.
Both women were taken into custody. The passenger is expected to be arraigned on charges of shooting and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
The driver was interviewed and released.
