Woman & Man She Met on Internet Shot to Death at Kansas Gun Range

A woman and a man she had recently met on the Internet were both shot to death at a gun range in Kansas.

Police are not revealing the exact circumstances surrounding the shootings, but the Kansas City Star reports that the woman, 38-year-old Bambi Hilburn, "was murdered."

The newspaper indentified the dead man as Victor Ocampo, 42.

Police say their bodies were found Tuesday morning at The Bullet Hole shooting range in Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri.

Police believe no one else was involved in the incident, but that is all they are saying.

Hilburn's sister Christy Gregor said her sister and Ocampo had only recently met. Gregor said she didn't know much about him.

"He seemed normal," she told the newspaper.

She also said her sister had never been to a gun range before.

"It was just a spur of the moment thing, them going," Gregor said. "A detective came out and told us she was dead. We don't know what happened."
