Woman Lay Dying In Pool Of Her Own Blood As Husband Boasts About Stabbing Her

A Rockland, Massachusetts woman was found barely alive in a pool of her own blood on her driveway this week. As her husband was being walked past her body in handcuffs, he shouted, “Die, bitch, die!”

According to reports, 52-year-old Patricia Langley was stabbed by her husband after he discovered sexual text messages to another person on her cell phone. Neighbors tried to help Patricia as she slowly died in a pool of her own blood in front of her house. When her shocked neighbors asked who stabbed her, Richard Langley proudly boasted about it from the front porch as he smoked a cigarette.

“I did it. I stabbed her,” said Langley. “I hope the bitch dies.”

The married couple have four children.

“I think it’s one of the most vicious cases I’ve seen in quite a while,” said Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz following Richard’s arraignment. “The facts are incredibly disturbing, that somebody could actually say something like that to somebody they’re married to, after a vicious altercation.”

Richard allegedly told investigators that he killed his wife in self defense after she plunged at him with the knife. However, when asked if there was any evidence supporting these claims, Cruz made clear that as of right now, this early on in the investigation, there is nothing to prove his statement.

“Not that I’m aware of other than his own statements, but then again this case did happen about 15 hours ago,” said Cruz on Thursday. “I’m sure there’ll be a lot of work to be done with this. All I know is the woman we believe was stabbed three times, and as she died he made those terrible, disparaging statements to her. It’s outrageous. And I don’t care what kind of relationship anybody had with their loved one.”

Patricia was a special education aide at Jefferson Elementary School, and district superintendent John Retchless says that the community is shocked and distraught by her gruesome murder.

“The whole school community is deeply saddened by the death of Patricia Langley,’’ said Retchless in a statement. “She was a wonderful person and a valued employee. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.’’

Richard Langley is currently being held without bail until his pretrial hearing on July 11.
