Sherrie Snader's bachelorette party took a turn for the worse when both she and her sister were stabbed in Louisville, Kentucky, on Sunday.
Police say Sherrie, 27, and her sister Melissa, 21, were on their way back to their hotel when the suspect, whom police have identified as Kalief Cummings, 45, confronted the two around 2:30 a.m., WLKY reported.
The sisters were part of a group from Cincinnati, Ohio, celebrating Sherrie's upcoming wedding.
There was an altercation before Cummings allegedly stabbed both Sherrie and Melissa then left the scene on his bicycle, according to The Huffington Post.

The sisters also escaped and ran to a safe place where they called 911. Both had collapsed lungs and were given medical treatment at a hospital nearby.
Police arrested Cummings a few hours later. Police used surveillance video and the description given by the sisters to identify him.
“It was a very quick turnaround as far as getting an armed, dangerous subject off the street,” Louisville Metro Police Detective Jon Lesher told WLKY. “During the overnight hours of Aug. 24, our late-shift patrol officers found a guy matching the description of the person responsible.”
Cummings has been charged with two counts of assault, though his motive in the attack is unclear.

Richard Snader, the sisters' father, said that the stabbing was “sick.”
“Really it's the kind of shock — you don't believe it, because these are great girls," Richard told WDRB. "They wouldn't hurt anybody ... Even if you're going to rob somebody, why do you have to stab them?"
Richard says the group spent the night out, but his daughters were on their way back to their hotel. At the time of the stabbing, other members of the group were on their way to get something to eat, WDRB reported.
The women are expected to make a full recovery, but Sherrie’s wedding, which was to take place on Aug. 29, may have to be rescheduled as the sisters are expected to be in the hospital for the rest of the week, according to The Huffington Post.
