Woman Accused of Pointing Gun at Comcast Worker Over Cable Fee

5

Gloria Baca-Lucero allegedly pulled a gun on a Comcast worker over an installation fee at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Albuquerque Journal reports the Comcast worker went to install cable at Baca-Lucero’s house on Monday, but angered the female customer when he told her there would be a fee.

Baca-Lucero believed the work was supposed to be free, and called Comcast customer service, but was told she would have to pay for the installation.

After Baca-Lucero refused to pay, the Comcast worker claims he started loading his tools back in his truck when Baca-Lucero allegedly took one of his tool bags and went back inside her house.

When the Comcast worker went to retrieve his tool bag from Baca-Lucero, she allegedly told him the tools were not leaving, pointed a handgun at him and stated, "You need to get off my property now."

However, ArsTechnica.com notes the police report claims Baca-Lucero admitted to taking the bag, but told the Comcast worker that his supervisor would have to come by and pick it up. Baca-Lucero also claimed that she did pull out a handgun, but "pointed it in the air," according to the police report.

Police said they found a loaded black Glock handgun and the tool bag inside Baca-Lucero's home. They arrested Baca-Lucero, who was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

She was booked into jail on Monday, but bailed out later that day. Baca-Lucero was ordered by a judge not to possess any guns or dangerous weapons.
