An elderly California man was arrested after authorities say he squirted two people with liquid, thought to be urine, from a bottle.
73-year-old Gilbert Martinez attacked the victims while they were shopping in Fontana, according to KABC.
Detectives say Martinez drew near the victims from behind and spurted them with fluid from a plastic bottle he was transporting.
Authorities have reason to believe the liquid was urine. The suspect fled the scene after the shoppers alerted a store supervisor.
Officers were called in to investigate reports of two separate attacks at a store, shortly before 11:30 a.m., according to the San Bernardino County Sun.
Police found Martinez, arrested him, and charged him with misdemeanor assault. He was given a citation and a date to appear in court.
