Police were called to a Walmart parking lot in Amarillo, Texas, on the morning of Feb. 2, and they found a 10-week-old baby not breathing.

The infant was pronounced dead at the scene and now the mother, 19-year-old Briana Leone Riley, has been charged with murder. A preliminary autopsy found that the baby died from blunt force trauma to the head.

The infant’s name and gender have not been revealed.

Officials told My High Plains that Riley and her partner, the victim’s father, were visiting from Colorado for a job interview. No one else has been arrested in connection with the murder.
