Texas police have arrested a man who was found with a missing 6-year-old girl in the woods.
The victim was last seen at around 10:00 p.m. on Oct. 7, NBCDFW News reported. The 6-year-old girl's father woke up the following morning at about 4:00 a.m. when he noticed that the front door was open and the girl was missing.
Authorities were called and they searched the area. They received a tip from a Tidus Park resident about screams coming from an area near the park.
"We owe a great debt to the citizen who actually heard the screams and notified us to go into that field area," Fort Worth Police Captain Deven Pitt told NBCDFW News.

When police searched the wooded area, they saw a man with the missing girl. The suspect attempted to flee and the child ran towards authorities.
"He hid from officers. There wasn't much of an area for him to run back there," Pitt recalled. "She was very scared. She was very nervous. She obviously didn't get to where she was by herself."

The suspect eventually surrendered after he was surrounded by police, officials said.
The Fort Worth Police Department identified the suspect as Edis Leonel Moya Alas, Fox 4 News reported. He is facing charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Immigration Customs Enforcement also confirmed that Alas is in the United States illegally from El Salvador, NBCDFW News reported. The victim’s mother said Alas is a stranger to the family.
Neighbors gathered at the family’s home to pray together moments before the girl was found.
“We were praying right there when police came to us and say she is okay,” a relative told the news station. “When we heard that, we say thanks to God.”
Police said other suspects may be involved and that Alas is just one person of interest.
"Right now, he's just being interviewed to find out what kind of involvement he had in this," Pitt said. "All we know is that he was in the presence of a child that he had no business being around at this point."
Alas is reportedly refusing to cooperate with the investigation.
