A South Carolina teen is being charged as an adult after getting his tongue bitten off while attempting to rape a woman.
North Charleston police officers responded to a call on June 24 from a woman who said she was sexually assaulted at her home, WCSC reported. When they arrived at the woman’s home, they found blood in the bedroom, and a tongue on the kitchen floor.
The 33-year-old woman told police she heard a knock at her door around 6:30 a.m. She opened the door, but found no one outside.
The woman said she heard another knock at the door, and then a ring. When she answered the door for the third time, she saw a man holding a knife at the side of her house.

The victim screamed “No!” as the male suspect forced his way into her home. He reportedly tackled her to the floor, punched her numerous times and said, "Stop fighting and I won't hurt you."
The suspect took the woman to her bedroom and attempted to take her shorts off, but the woman resisted and kicked him in the groin, according to an incident report. The suspect then told her "Now you have to die!"
The suspect then forced his tongue into the woman’s mouth. The victim told officers she "bit his tongue as hard as she could until she heard it snap." She then threw the suspect’s tongue on the kitchen floor and ran off.
The woman drove to a nearby business and contacted police. She had visible bruises and swelling around her right eye.

Authorities found the suspect at a local Waffle House after his mother called 911 due to her son "not having a tongue and needing medical assistance." The suspect was identified as 16-year-old Antoine Miller.
Miller was taken to Trident Hospital for treatment. Police found his tongue at the crime scene and placed it in a bag of ice. He is now facing charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and first-degree kidnapping, according to a representative with the NCPD.
An unidentified neighbor told NBC News that Miller had a “brain disorder.”
“I don’t believe that he is responsible for his actions,” the neighbor told NBC News. “He has a brain disorder that causes him to act on impulse and do things… he’s only reading at a second-grade level.”
