After a spat between a 19-year-old man and his sister at their home in west Harris County, Texas, the man was stabbed to death on April 25.

Houston authorities were called to investigate a stabbing and discovered one dead at the scene. According to family members, a 16-year-old girl accidentally stabbed her brother, Mario Aguirre, while trying to protect their mother during a quarrel, reports KPRC.

"He was just a good person, he was always there, to be a protector," said Priscilla Aguirre, another sister.

Priscilla says Mario was fighting with his younger sister over their stepfather and a knife was involved.

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

"When I heard this, I couldn't believe it, I couldn't stop crying, I'm still in shock," said Mario’s close friend, who wanted to remain anonymous. "He was a good man, he really was."

The Aguirres' neighbors say this is not the first time police have been to the home, reports KTRK.

"It was very common to see the security going to the house, because there are a lot of teenagers there, and they were being unsupervised sometimes," said Maria, a woman who lives two doors away.

Although the teens caused some trouble in the neighborhood, nobody predicted someone would get killed.

"It shocks me in the morning, And I still think about it, and it's hard to swallow, because they are young kids. It's very shocking to see them, " Maria told KTRK.

The 16-year-old suspect is being questioned by investigators. No charges have been filed yet.
