Police in Washington, D.C., have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of actress Tricia McCauley, who went missing on Christmas Day.

McCauley, 46, was found dead in her car Dec. 27, two days after disappearing.

"Tricia is gone, they have found her body," Brian McCauley, her brother, wrote on Facebook. "Thank you for all your work, support and love. To all of her D.C. family, I know she truly thought of you that way, thank you for being there for her all these years. Hang on to each other."

Police later confirmed that McCauley's body was discovered in her car in front of a CVS pharmacy. The cause of death has not been revealed, although police say her body showed signs of trauma, according to the Daily Mail.
