Police Arrest Protester Who Punched Cop Square In The Head (Video)

A man has been arrested for allegedly punching a New York Police Department (NYPD) officer during a recent protest.

According to the New York Daily News, 22-year-old Yotameli Sayer has reportedly been identified as the man who was arrested for the alleged assault.

A video of the incident, which has since gone viral, was initially posted online Dec. 4. It shows an NYPD officer attempting to handle the crowd when a man with a black face mask lands a solid hit to the side of his head.

Sayer has been charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct for the second offense, according to the NYPD.
