| by Michael Allen

Gerald Moultrie and Tosheba Hope were caught last night allegedly shoplifting from a Walmart store in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the couple was arrested at 7 p.m., but failed to tell deputies that they left their three children waiting in a car outside the store for several hours, reports NBC Miami (video below).

The kids - ages 2, 5 and 7 - sat in the car outside the Walmart until some store employees found the youngsters in the vehicle at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Moultrie and Hope were charged with grand theft and child neglect. The couple allegedly tried to steal more than $600 worth of tools and automotive accessories.

In another twist, Hope told Judge John Hurley on Tuesday that she is “probably pregnant” with her fourth child, noted The Smoking Gun.

According to Local 10 News, the children were turned over to some relatives.

Moultrie reportedly has previous arrests for marijuana possession and driving without a license.
