The Rancho Cordova, California City Council voted on Monday to write up an ordinance which would allow businesses to put up electric security fences that can carry 7000 volts (video below).
The ordinance would have to be voted on, but appears to have strong support from politicians and businesses owners.
Sam Matsoyan, owner of MP Auto Parts, told CBS Sacramento: "It’ll be a little fun to watch one of these guys get electrocuted holding my fence trying to rob me. It’ll be very effective. I mean, nobody wants to get jolted. I think it’s going to have a significant effect."
Popular VideoCongress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?
An electric fence manufacturer told CBS Sacramento: "It’s a memorable experience. It's incredibly effective."
