'Countdown' guest host David Shuster and guest Jonathan Turley, constitutional law expert and professor at George Washington University, slammed Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the NYPD for keeping the press from the Occupy Wall Street raid last week, so that "journalists can be safe.”
Turley illustrated the danger of press censorship by the police and the failure of elected officials to condemn it: “The problem is that we’re not getting any responsible public officials who are coming forward saying, ‘This is wrong.' And as a result abuses against protesters often go without penalty: “They can really get away with this.”
Popular VideoCongress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?
Turley also accused Mayor Bloomberg of "Orwellian speech."
