Heather Hodges intentionally hid an unloaded pistol in the book bag of her boyfriend's 13-year-old son and then placed an anonymous call to police in Montgomery County, Texas (video below).
Police say Hodges was acting on a grudge against the teen; the son of her now former live-in boyfriend, reports the Daily Mail.
The boy's father, who wished to remain anonymous, told KTRK-TV: "Her explanation to me was that she wanted to see my son get into trouble. Their relationship wasn't great, so he automatically was like, 'it was Heather that called.'"
Hodges reportedly went through the teen's backpack, removing a few items before planting the unloaded pistol inside. The teen then went to Magnolia Junior High School with the weapon.
Popular VideoCongress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?
Surveillance cameras recorded Hodges driving up to a pay phone outside a convenience store and calling the police.
The boy's father and Hodges had gotten into a fight the week before, prompting her bizarre retaliation.
Hodges was charged with carrying a weapon on restricted premises and transferring a handgun to someone under the age of 18.
The father has since moved himself and his son to another town: "That's hard to get past. It's hard to look at it and say, 'OK, I forgive you. Oh, you made a mistake.' That's a huge mistake to make."
