Video: Gun Owner Todd Canady Accidentally Shoots Self and Children at Wal-Mart

At a Dallas Walmart store, on Monday, Todd Canady was in the checkout line when he accidentally dropped the Springfield .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol that he was carrying inside his pants (video below).

KDFW-TV reported: “The bullet struck Canady in the buttock, then ricochet on the floor and broke into pieces. Two children and a woman were also wounded when they were struck by bullet fragments."

Although injured, Canady allegedly ran from the store when he was confronted by an off-duty police officer.

After catching up with Canady, police officers determined that he had a valid concealed carry permit, but he was still charged with evading arrest.Canady may also be charged with felony injury to a child.
