In Kannopolis, North Carolina, Alex Wiles recorded himself firing a shotgun at a pro-LGBT sign that is against Amendment One, which says the state's ban on marriage equality should be part of the state’s Constitution.
Citizens will vote on the measure on May 8. The video (below) has gone viral, even after Wiles removed it from YouTube.
Wiles says on the video: “Right now there is this amendment trying to be passed, Amendment One, and it’s going to state that marriage is between one man and one woman, which is how it ought to be."
“So, somebody decided it would be a good idea to put this sign near my house. They ought to know not to put stuff like that near my house.”
Wiles then puts shells into a shotgun, takes aim, fires two rounds into the yard sign and says: “That’s how we do it ’round here. That’s all folks.”
The Kannopolis police department is investigating what could be a crime, if Wiles' shotgun was fired onto a neighbor's property that includes a home or business.
