A South Carolina woman was arrested Monday after she stabbed her roommate because he refused to stop listening to the The Eagles.

The 64-year-old victim was listening to the classic rock band when his former girlfriend Vernett Bader, 54, told him to turn it off. The unnamed victim told her to shut up. That’s when Bader allegedly attacked him with a 14-inch serrated bread knife, The Post and Courier reported.

The victim wrestled the knife away, but Bader retrieved another one. He fled and locked himself in a bathroom.

When police arrived at the North Charleston home, Bader was standing outside with another man.

According to the Daily Mail, all three were drunk at the time of the incident.

Police say Bader claimed she stabbed her roommate because he choked her. Investigators could find no evidence of injury on her neck.

A neighbor who witnessed the attack backed the roommate’s account.

Bader was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

It is unknown just what song drove Bader to attack, but the lyrics "stab it with their steely knives" comes to mind.
