U.S. Deputy Marshals reportedly shot an unarmed man yesterday in Albuquerque, N.M.
The shooting occurred at about 10 a.m. when U.S. Deputy Marshals tried to arrest Gilberto Serrano, who was taking a friend to a local methadone clinic.
Serrano allegedly violated his parole in February and has been newly-charged with aggravated battery and three counts of child abuse, reports KOAT.
After U.S. Deputy Marshals stopped Serrano's truck, they swarmed around the vehicle and began firing bullets, say witnesses.

“Get out of the car! Get out of the vehicle! And then boom! She shot like right away. She just shot right away,” witness Gabriel Valdez told KRQE (video below).
Valdez says that law enforcement took his cell phone away because he filmed part of the incident.
“I have evidence on there they said because I have video on there, not video of the actual shooting, but of everything else,” claimed Valdez.
Another video (below) filmed moments after the shooting has surfaced on the web. It shows an angry crowd of witnesses cursing at law enforcement as Serrano bleeds on the ground.

“He never pulled out a gun, nothing,” an unidentified witness told KRQE. “His hands were on the steering wheel.”
Authorities refuse to say whether Serrano was armed or not.
“I can tell you that shots were fired,” Bernalillo County Sheriff Dan Houston stated. “It’s my understanding that the subject was hit by one of the law enforcement officers and has been taken to the hospital.”
Serrano was released from the hospital last night and is being held by law enforcement.
