Two New Jersey police officers were arrested and charged Monday with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old.

Atlantic City Officer Andre Corbin and Brigantine Officer Ralph Pereira, both 43, are accuse of sexually assaulting a teen in separate incidents.

It is unclear whether they both assaulted the same teen, if the minor is male or female, and where the alleged assaults took place.

Both men were charged with criminal sexual contact, sexual assault while holding a position of authority and official misconduct after a lengthy investigation led by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit with help from the Brigantine and Atlantic City police departments.

Corbin was previously charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury in 2008, according to court records obtained by the Press of Atlantic City. The charged was dismissed in Feburary 2009 for insufficient evidence.

Pereira, a 10-year veteran, is being held at the Atlantic County jail on $100,000 bail.

Corbin was released on $100,000 bail Tuesday morning.
