Two men have been indicted in relation to their involvement in the murder of a Marine and assault of his wife one year ago in Lexington, Kentucky.

A Fayette County Grand Jury recently returned indictments for Quincinio D. Canada and Dawan Q. Mulazim for the murder of Jonathan Price and assault of Megan Price, reported Lex 18. According to a release from the Lexington Police Department, both Canada and Mulazim have been indicted on charges of murder, two counts of robbery first degree and assault second degree.

“I think it will make Megan feel better, but of course it won't bring her husband back,” said Jessica Mitchell, a friend of Megan’s. “But, it has to put her mind at ease, knowing that they are not on the streets anymore.”

On June 21, 2014, Jonathan Price was gunned down while with his wife, Megan Price, as they left Lexington’s Austin City Saloon. Two men demanding money reportedly approached the Prices in the parking lot and shot Jonathan in the back. Megan was shot in the leg but survived. Jonathan was transported to University of Kentucky Hospital where he later died, reports KY Forward.

The suspects reportedly took Jonathan's wallet and Megan’s purse.

According to Lex 18, Mitchell, who went to school with Megan, said the tragedy has stayed with everyone as they have waited for arrests to be made. "It's hard on everybody and it's scary that we live in a world where people just kill people like it's nothing," Mitchell said.

KY Forward reported that both suspects are currently incarcerated for unrelated charges. Police said in September 2014, both men were arrested for three other Lexington robberies.

There is a possibility of an additional robbery made by both men that Lexington Police say was likely to have been caught on surveillance video at a Dry Ridge Speedway in July 2014.
