| by Michael Allen

"Planking" and "Tebowing" were once popular Internet fads, but now a new disturbing trend is hot on the web, "Trayvoning."

Trayvoning pictures feature people laying face down, pretending to be dead with a can of iced tea and a bag of Skittles, notes CBS Tampa Bay,

A can of iced tea and Skittles were found next to the body of Trayvon Martin after he was shot by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Fla., in February 2012. A photo of his body was accidentally aired during TV coverage of the Zimmerman trial.

Trayvoning images have appeared on Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr, providing the people who posted them with the attention they so desperately seek.

The pictures are darker than planking, pics of people laying in awkward positions in odd locations, or Tebowing where people drop to one knee and pray in public places as NFL player Tim Tebow does on football fields.
